What is MTProto Proxy?

MTProto proxy is a specialized proxy protocol created by Telegram specifically for its own traffic. Unlike generic HTTP or SOCKS proxies, MTProto is designed from the ground up to carry Telegram data efficiently and securely.

Modern MTProto proxies use Fake TLS technology (secrets starting with ee or dd). This makes the traffic look like ordinary HTTPS requests to websites, making it virtually undetectable by deep packet inspection and network filters.

The result: your Telegram connection stays private and works reliably, even on heavily filtered networks.

New proxies are added hourly, and every existing one is re-validated every 15 minutes — dead servers are removed and latency is measured again.

dd secrets use obfuscation to mask Telegram traffic. ee secrets use Fake TLS, so the connection looks like ordinary HTTPS to a popular site. Both are hard for DPI filters to detect and both are supported.

SOCKS5 is a generic proxy and filtering systems recognise it as one. MTProto is Telegram's native protocol: it disguises traffic and holds up better where the messenger is restricted.

No. Telegram encrypts secret chats end-to-end and cloud chats client-to-server. The proxy only relays already-encrypted packets and cannot read messages, calls or media.

A VPN routes all device traffic through a tunnel and can slow other apps down. MTProto handles Telegram traffic only: faster, lighter and with no extra software to install.

Servers with ee secrets (Fake TLS) work in most countries where Telegram is restricted, including Iran, China and Russia, because the traffic mimics regular HTTPS. If one server does not work, try another from the list.
