What a mobile proxy is

When you go online through such a proxy, to a website you look like a person on a phone in the subway or at home. Technically, behind a mobile proxy there is a real device with a SIM card through which your traffic passes.

Carriers use CGNAT (Carrier-Grade NAT) technology: a single external IP address is shared by hundreds and thousands of subscribers at the same time. For anti-bot systems this is a key factor:
- blocking a mobile IP means "hitting" a mass of live people;
- so platforms ban such addresses extremely reluctantly;
- suspicious activity dissolves into the real traffic of thousands of users.
How IP rotation works
